Registration Age Breakdown

AYSO will be changing from a school year registration to a birth year registration in order to align with other youth soccer providers' interpretation of the U.S. Soccer Player Development Initiatives.

The effective date of age determination for registration shall be the player's age as of December 31, 2025 looking ahead of the Membership Year.  Example: For MY2026 Fall, the division the child will be placed in will be determined based on their age on December 31, 2025. 

For MY2026 (Fall 2025/Spring 2026) a players division will be based on their age as of December 31, 2025. 

To help in determining the proper age and division for players, the following chart is provided and guidelines and rules are as follows from U.S. Soccer.

**NOTE the age divisions at AYSO Region 124 will differ a little from what is listed below.  Playground & Schoolyard will be combined into the 6U division (minimum age 4 years old). Divisions 15U & Up will have teams only if we have enough player interest to form teams.  Minimum of 12 players needed in those divisions.  All other divisions will be on the even year division breakout (6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, & 14U).
